Herikon is globally active in various industries. They have one thing in common; they demand top performance from our products, whether offshore or in mechanical engineering.
Thanks to our decades of experience, we know what counts, and we help innovate within themes such as wear resistance, dimensional stability, cushioning properties, food contact, and durability.
In mechanical engineering, conventional materials are increasingly being replaced by engineering plastics. Herikon materials contribute to the reduction of vibration, wear and noise. Dynamically loaded parts, such as rollers and wheels, can be replaced with Herikon polyurethane for increased load-bearing capacity and longer life, and our engineering plastics can be machined to size for critical components.
Mechanical engineering applications
- No-Crush Wheels
The mechanisation of agriculture and livestock farming requires many wear-resistant solutions. Challenges in the industry are often weather-related but creep resistance, tear strength, and chemical resistance are also common issues. Herikon offers numerous plastics and elastomers that improve performance and help reduce maintenance costs through corrosion and wear resistance.
- Track plates
OFFSHORE + ENERGY
Herikon has been active in the oil and gas industry for four decades. We supply the industry with high-temperature and high-pressure resistant materials—the HTHP principle. The parts are also expected to have high mechanical strength, offer chemical resistance and be suitable for the most extreme environments. Modern elastomers and engineering plastics can significantly improve existing solutions in the oil and gas industry thanks to state-of-the-art materials that offer a wider range of benefits.
Offshore and energy applications
- Cable stiffeners
- Bend stiffeners
- Cable protectors
- Wear rings
- Track plates
Moulded parts made of polyurethane and other technical plastics are regularly used to produce concrete parts such as sewage pipes and utility holes. They are also used for hoppers and specific assembly aids on the construction site itself. Exceptional wear resistance and flexibility in geometry make Herikon materials the logical choice for many applications.
- Structure mats
Plastics are indispensable when it comes to parts in food processing machines. Producing for this market segment comes with great responsibility. There are strict rules when it comes to the use of plastics in combination with food. Depending on the type of material, our materials are compliant with (EC) 1935/2004, (EU) 10/2011, and FDA. Our materials are delivered with the corresponding certificates.
- Sliding parts
The semiconductor industry is broad and challenging. The applications are demanding, both mechanically and in terms of tolerances within each stage of the process, from wafer handling to packaging. Each stage offers specific challenges, such as extremely high temperatures or very aggressive and abrasive chemicals or solutions. Herikon produces products to customer specifications for this market according to our ISO-certified processes. The semi-finished products are often specially developed for applications within the semiconductor industry and offer unique ESD properties, low outgassing, or high-temperature resistance.
